I found a love for childbirth after having my first child in 2018. After becoming pregnant with my second child in December of that same year, and delivering in the summer of 2019, I started thinking about how much I loved labor and birth and how I wished there was work supporting people through labor like a nurse but more personalized and consistent.  Many friends who had also recently had become pregnant, or had recently had babies had come to me for advice and said how naturally it seemed for me to support them, and how there should be a name for people like me who love to help birthing people and their families, turns out there is! That's when I set on the path to become a doula, to help support people through labor, birth and postpartum. 
My goal as a doula is to help you work through labor; to achieve a positive birth experience. My birth work includes hands off informational and inspirational support; such as words of affirmation and in the moment information and education proir to the big moment. As well as hands on support through counter pressure, massage, helping hold you in more comfortable positions and aiding any other support members into getting involved in actively supporting you.
